Evangelism Courses

Posted August 3rd, 2004 by timjn

All over the country churches are using ‘process evangelism’ courses as a way of helping people engage with Christian faith. These are clearly more effective than the old ‘crisis evangelism’ models, but how effective are they?

Alpha is by far the best known and the most popular. But there are several others, and some research suggests home-grown courses are the most effective of all!

Are you using one of these courses? Which one? Why? Do you know the others? How have you found the course working? What are its strengths and weaknesses?

Some of the courses being offered in Britain and Ireland: Alpha, Emmaus, Essence, Credo, Christianity Explored, Y Course, Start!
