Prayer Update November 2007

- Brian our 'unintentional' church member is getting baptised at the end of this month. It will happen jointly with the other church that he has become part of in Salford. Please pray for Brian as he prepares for this event and for his family & friends to be impacted positively by his witness. Thank God too for Brian's growing spiritual maturity and pray that he continue to know God's leading in his life.

- We continue to develop relationships with our neighbours. Han has been visiting one couple regularly with Grace and we feel it's the right time to ask them to help us out by babysitting. It is important to put ourselves in people's debt (See John 4 - Jesus at the well). We also took flowers round to our next door neighbour who had been ill - she has always been quite distant but since that day she has brought in our bin every week! Small things, but significant. We continue to pray for and seek new opportunities to bless people and to o build deeper relationships with them.

- The girls continue to visit Han and Grace, plans are to take them out on the train sometime, one of them has only ever been on a train once - to Bolton(?!). They will be invited to Grace's 2nd birthday celebration next month.

- Han has recently 'been found' by an old school friend through 'friends reunited', she live just up the road in Failsworth. We don't believe this is a consequence; she is quite ill and finding life quite difficult, she doesn't believe in God but respects Han's faith and appreciates the prayer offered. Please pray that she will open up to allowing God to change her life.

- We had a shooting on the estate last weekend! What can we say? It was probably some kind of punishment, debt, drugs stuff... It just highlights the need for people to be freed from addiction, poverty and the rest!

- We have recently been blessed by a large gift that will help us to continue work on the house as well as make Christmas much less stressful. Thank God with us for his provision and his faith in us!

- Well, we said this would be quick so better wrap up... we desperately need team members. Please pray for the Open Days we'll be holding in January & April (see 'open day' blog ). Please pass on the info to anyone you know who might be looking for a new challenge!

- And finally, we are expecting baby no.2 in May next year!
